WantedHi there, I am a new member and would like to advertise on the site for some reel parts. I have a couple of old French reels that are missing bits, namely. A drag knob for a Ceka #6. A spool and drag for a Mepps 'Super Meca'. If anyone has these parts or old parts reels to sell, please contact. ORCA member Richard Chandler (New Zealand) Many thanks and kind regards, Richard Chandler. thechandlers@xtra.co.nz 06/10/07 I have been blessed with being able to restore a Horton No 3 Bluegrass Baitcaster made of German Silver (my first). The reel came to me with the foot soldered and riveted onto the cross pieces (screws missing). I was able to drill the rivets out, desolder the foot, remove all solder traces and save the threads in the cross pieces. Now I desperately need the two screws that hold the foot on to the cross pieces to restore the reel to original. The screws are size number 3 with 48 threads per inch and at least 1/4 in long (3-48 x 1/4) (I can shorten them if they are longer than 1/4 in.) The screw heads are of the flat countersunk configuration and have a single screwdriver slot (not Phillips). From research I have completed I understand that to be absolutely correct for this reel, the screws must be made out of steel or as one old description put it, "be made of iron". If you have them or know where I can get them please contact me: ORCA Member Robert Lee, (360) 683-6894 or bobjolee@peoplepc.com. Thanks I need a handle, counter balanced, with one ivoriod knob, for a model 1914 -1922 Shakespeare, Uncle Sam, bait casting reel. Fred Kunze, fgkunze@earthlink.net, (201) 317-9888. Thank you. Carlton 9 Multiplier handle, handle nut and bearing cap for back plate. Tom DuRose (206) Alcedo Help! Hoping to locate a handle in good condition for an Alcedo Mark IV. Also would like a medallion (decal?) for the same reel. Barry McGuire Need a spool pinion gear for a Coronet 25 from Bronson Reel Company. This pinion goes on the handle side of the spool, onto the shaft and appears that it fits into the cross shaped opening on that side of the spool. Bryce Tawney 12/31/07 Need a reel spool with the attached tail side bearing for a South Bend 750 Perfectoreno. This also comes on some Shakespeare and South Bend reels also. The bearing fits on the tail side of the spool into a housing which is permanently attached to the tail plate. I found out the hard way the bearing does not come off the spool shaft, by damaging the bearing. I think the easiest way to get my reel repaired is to replace the spool with the bearing already attached. Bryce Tawney 12/31/07 For Sale
